A small convention with a lot of heart

Cleveland Anime-Fest is a small convention in a hotel, just not large enough to host it. The panels were in a small conference room that just wasn’t very large. Yet, even though the panels were in there, the con was still a great experience. Even though it was small, it was a fantastic convention with friendly vendors and absolutely amazing artists. What it lacked in large, expensive figurines and statues, it had fantastic fan art, more miniature collectibles, and a complete sword vendor who had numerous real, plastic, and wood swords from numerous properties. It’s a great experience for a single day, yet you might not want to spend the full eight hours there. It desperately needs a larger venue. The cosplay contest was a bit of a mess, but seeing many people in costumes in the same place is always wonderful. I hope the organizers can find a better place to host it. The primary plus side to this convention is it only costs twenty dollars to enter. Even though it was incredibly crowded early on, it was still a great time.
